Danielle Pinkston's Platform and Plan for the 2025-2026 Bar Year

Danielle's platform as a candidate for Secretary is grounded in four key principles that reflect her vision for a more effective, accountable, and member-driven National Bar Association. Each pillar of Pinkston's Promises or Pinkston’s Plan is designed to enhance the role of Secretary and ensure the needs of the membership remain front and center:

  1. Proper Record-Keeping
As Secretary, Danielle understands that accurate, timely, and organized records are essential to the integrity and functionality of the NBA. This means maintaining comprehensive minutes, preserving historical records, tracking action items, and ensuring that all Association proceedings are properly documented and accessible. She is committed to strengthening administrative systems so that institutional memory is preserved and the business of the Association remains efficient and transparent.

  2. Precise Communication
Clear and timely communication is the backbone of member engagement and organizational trust. Danielle believes the Secretary’s role is not just to take minutes, but to facilitate consistent, well-crafted correspondence across all levels of the NBA. From meeting notices and updates to answering inquiries and disseminating important information, she is committed to ensuring that messages are delivered with professionalism, clarity, and accuracy.

  3. Prioritizing Member Engagement
Danielle believes that members are the heart of the Association. As Secretary, she has worked to create more opportunities for members to be heard, connected, and informed. Prioritizing member engagement means responding to concerns promptly, providing useful information proactively, and supporting meaningful involvement across Sections, Divisions, Regions, and Affiliates. It also means creating systems that promote inclusion and ensure all members—new and seasoned—feel valued and empowered.

  4. Promoting Transparency
Trust is built through openness and accountability. Danielle is committed to maintaining transparency in all communications, procedures, and decisions that flow through the Office of the Secretary. This includes making sure minutes are complete and available, clarifying processes and expectations, and ensuring that members have insight into how the NBA operates. Transparency promotes stronger governance, better decision-making, and greater trust among members.

Together, these four principles form the foundation of Danielle's candidacy and reflect her continued dedication to advancing the mission of the National Bar Association.
